Step 1: Remove callus on your feet
Soak your foot in warm water. The callus should be completely covered for at least 5 or 10 minutes. The warm water will soften the callus.
Rub a pumice stone or a foot file over the callus. The abrasive surface of the pumice stone or file will exfoliate your skin and gently take the callus off your foot, leaving the smooth skin visible.
Step 2: Clean your feet and nails
Make sure your feet and toenails are clean. Wash them with a homemade exfoliator to remove dead skin and moisturise to add temporary softness.
Step 3: Apply moisturiser
Put moisturiser on your feet overnight. All moisturiser is essentially the same stuff, although some gets absorbed to the skin more easily than others. Careful on the stairs though…
Step 4: Put on clean socks and head to bed
Step 5: In the morning, take the socks off and throw them into the wash. Wash your own feet to get rid of excess lotion.
Step 6: Your feet should be nice and soft again. Repeat as needed to keep your feet soft.
